This policy explains how the Android app PowerWave: Charge Speed Meter (package com.powerwave.app) handles your information.

Battery readings stay on your device

PowerWave reads battery and charging information that Android makes available: battery level, charging status, battery health, current, voltage, temperature, and your device model and Android version. Your charging sessions, test results and the charger or cable names you enter are stored only on your device. We do not upload them to any server, we do not receive them, and the app does not use analytics or crash-reporting tools.

Ads

PowerWave is free and shows ads from Google AdMob. To show and measure ads and to prevent fraud, Google's ad software in the app may collect information such as your IP address (which can show your approximate location), your device's advertising ID and App Set ID, app interactions such as ad views and taps, and diagnostic information about how the ads perform. This information goes to Google, not to us, and Google handles it under its own policies: Google Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from apps that use its services.

Your choices and consent

Where the law requires it (for example in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland), consent for personalised ads is requested. You can also limit ad personalisation, or reset or delete your advertising ID, in your Android settings (Settings > Privacy > Ads, or Settings > Google > Ads, depending on your phone). You may still see ads that are not personalised.

Permissions

PowerWave uses Android's battery information to work. When you start a charger or cable test, it may keep measuring while you switch apps or turn off the screen, and Android may show a notification while the test runs. The app does not need your contacts, messages, photos or microphone.

Keeping and deleting data

You can delete your saved records in the app where available, clear the app's data in Android settings, or uninstall the app. Information already collected by Google for ads is kept under Google's own retention rules.

Sharing and selling

We do not sell your personal information and we do not share your battery readings with anyone. The only data that leaves your device is what Google's ad software collects, as described above.

Children

PowerWave is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, contact us and we will help remove it.

Changes

If the app's data practices change, we will update this policy and the date above before the change is released.
